Sharon Fay Boatwright Feb. 20, 1942 – July 8, 2016

Funeral services for Sharon Fay Boatwright, 74, of Sallisaw, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016, at Faith Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw with Pastor Monroe Lowrimore officiating.

Burial will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services of Sallisaw.

Mrs. Boatwright was born on Feb. 20, 1942, in Peoria to Forrest and Emma (Webb) Cousatte. She died on Friday, July 8, 2016, in Sallisaw.

She attended Faith Assembly of God Church, was the treasurer for the American Legion Auxiliary and delivered cars for Blue Ribbon Dodge. She cooked for numerous families in the area and was known as the “Pie Lady.”

She married Ivan Boatwright on March 29, 2004, in Fayetteville, Ark.

Survivors include her husband, Ivan; two sons, Tony Whatley and wife, Pattie Lou of Joplin, Mo., and Kevin Whatley and wife, Jowen of Fort Smith, Ark.; one daughter, Rhonda Whatley Polvado of Flower Mound, Texas; three sisters; two brothers; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers send donations to the American Legion Auxiliary, P.O. Box 963, Sallisaw, OK 74955.

Christina Louise Coffman Jackson November 17, 1951- February 2, 2018


Christina Louise Coffman Jackson, 66, born Nov 17, 1951, in Norman, OK, to George W and Wilma Jean Langley Coffman. She passed at her home in Sallisaw on Friday, Feb 2, 2018. Christina was a wonderful loving wife, mother, and grandmother to all her family and friends. She married Gary Jackson on Nov 16, 1968 and was married for 49 years and 3 months. She lived for her family and fought a valiant fight trying to regain her health for the past five years. Through the battle, she didn’t complain, keeping her trust in the Lord just knowing her children and grandchildren were successful in all their endeavors. Christina had many friends and enjoyed their company, and two very special sister friends are Dee Petree and Penny Thomas. These ladies were tireless in seeing that she had what she needed or wanted. They helped her laugh and helped her when she cried. She loved them dearly. Christina was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Sallisaw and the Park Hill Baptist Church, Tahlequah. She will be missed and loved by all her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Gary F Jackson of the home; daughter, Cari Jackson and her husband Steve of Fresno, CA; 2 sons, William F Jackson and his wife Catherine of Eufaula, OK, and Jeremy M Jackson and his wife Katie of Fresno, CA; Granddaughter, Felicia Lopez Long and her husband Eric; grandsons, Cody Jackson and his wife Faith, Kaleb Jackson with B.A. Reeb; Gavin Jackson, Nathan Lopez, Stevie Lopez, Hunter Jackson, Lex Jackson, Ty Jackson; sisters, Linda Coffman Mathis and her husband Ken of Ardmore, OK, and Belinda Coffman and her Husband Bill Nugent of Checotah, OK; brother, Rick Coffman and his wife Rebecca of Sallisaw; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nephew, great niece, and a host of friends. Christina was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Gary Andrew Jackson.

Viewing for Christina will be held on Tuesday, Feb 6, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of the Forever Memories Funeral Service, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw. Teresa Rose (Terri) Wofford, 86, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma went to heaven Monday, June 26, 2017 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was born December 9, 1930 in Trenton, New Jersey, the daughter of Anthony and Rose Peluso. She married Jack Wofford on September 22, 1951 in Richmond, California. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Sallisaw.

Survivors are:

2 daughters: Judy Lamb of Farmers Branch, TX and JoAnn and Eddy Richmond of Ft. Smith, AR

1 son: Glenn and Donna Wofford of Muskogee, OK

6 grandchildren: Shelley Clark of Tulsa, OK, Bruce Wofford of Tulsa, OK, Melanie French of Memphis, TN, Kevin Lamb of Ft. Collins, CO, Sarah Marshall of Little Rock, AR and Kelsey Fodge of Dallas, TX

5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild

1 sister: Gloria Simmons of Somerset, KY

2 brothers: Al Peluso of Trenton, NJ and Ralph Peluso of Trenton, NJ

Numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Rose Peluso; 4 sisters, Mary Tassone, Clara Rossi, Edith Pyatt, and Rosemary Caruso; and 2 brothers, Tony and Sam Peluso.

Mary Duvall

 Birth Date: March 14, 1950

○ Death Date: November 4, 2018


On Sunday November 4, 2018 Mary Duvall completed her journey here on earth surrounded by her friends and family. Mary's journey started on March 14, 1950 when she was born to John Adair and Katie Vann Adair in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.


In her 68 years on Earth, she blessed the lives of those who knew her with love, kindness and laughter. While Mary's family and friends are heartbroken, she has left them with stories, memories and life lessons that will live on for generations.


Mary's relationship with Jesus Christ was a central part of her life. She lived out her faith by being a mentor, mother figure and by providing Thanksgiving meals for people who had no family to spend the holidays with. She attended New Beginnings Church in Sallisaw.


For 46 years Mary worked as a hair dresser where she enjoyed bringing out the beauty of other people and making lifelong friends along the way. Stories of the pranks and practical jokes Mary played on her coworkers and clients at the salon continue to bring smiles and laughter. She also helped shape the lives of others by serving as Sequoyah District Representative for the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma.


Mourning Mary's passing her mother, Katie Adair, her husband of 50 years Bob Duvall of Sallisaw to whom she was married on July 13, 1968 with renewal of their vows taking place in July of 2018, daughter and son in law Heather Duvall Anderson and Jayme Anderson of Sallisaw, son and daughter in law Joey and Dalene Duvall of Sallisaw, grandchildren Sayde Anderson, Seth Anderson, Jamey Duvall and Jessika Duvall, brothers and sisters in law Johnny and Alivada Adair and Donald and Joanne Adair, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends .


Mary was preceded in death by her father, John Adair, her sister Lou and infant brother Jimmy.


Family and friends will be received for visitation on Wednesday, November 7th from 6-8 p.m. at Forever Memories Funeral Services 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1101 N Wheeler, Sallisaw. Committal service will follow in the Fort Smith National Cemetery, Ft Smith, AR at 12:00 noon.
